I know you guys are a little frustrated and down on this year a bit but, as has been mentioned in other threads, App @ GSU is a battle regardless of record. I expect nothing different this time.

Yeah, your sandbagging doesn't impress me. An App win in the Boro is hard to come by anytime.

Well, it's becoming common for GSU fans as we've now dropped 3 straight to those guys. I know it's going to take some time, but we scored 22 less points than DII Newberry did against them. To their credit, Samford pretty much dominated the game.

Dude, we're 4 and 4, and needed a three-game win streak to get here! We're not sandbagging THIS year! ;)

Mark it down - I will guarantee that ...

Lanston Tanyi will not play xlolx so you have 64 or so more to go.

There are probably around 10-12 freshmen in there that are being stock-piled through red-shirting, so ...

That's got you down to 52 --- not counting walk-ons and team managers we could throw in there if necessary. And cheerleaders. You wouldn't hit a girl, would you?

(That's our plan and we are sticking to it ;) )

Good one! That is one of the funniest posts I have seen on this board in a long time.....really witty!

I think you might be selling your team short. We always have a battle in the 'boro. I think this one might have all the makings for an upset.....but maybe not.

Thanks for the good humor.....and here's to a good game no matter what the outcome!

One thing is certain...GSU isn't stockpiling many via the redshirt route. Most of the true freshmen are playing significant minutes. 13 or 14 have been playing and at least eight of them have been starting.

Appalachian has some *meat-on-the-hoof* cooking on red-shirt. Remains to be seen how they play out but they are huge. Seventy-five percent of the signees were Beeg Boys this year. Nasty 'em up and we might really have something, there.

Also got a QB from Atlanta who missed part of his senior HS year because of injury. Looks like he can really fling the rock, but he's stuck behind Presley (who has one more year) and a RS freshman named Jackson.

The less-than-insane Appalachian fans understand that Paulson is a trap game for us. How the players re-act is key. If Appalachian comes out flat you guys could put a hurtin' on us.

On the other hand, I don't believe *crAppalachian* has played their best 'ball yet this year - certainly not on defense. DP looked downright human last week, and Devon Moore has been struggling all year.

Ironic that the Mocs barely missed upsetting both the #1 and #2 teams (who were both upset today).

And yet...Chattanooga beat both EKU and GSU.

Couldn't beat the Giants...but beat the Giant Killers.

Weird day in the SoCon...Wild day in FCS.
