Correct me if I am wrong, but MT needs a lot of help to continue the conference title streak, right?

Congrats to Weber - played to win at the end instead of reverting to some crappy prevent D.

Weber State ran the ball 68 times for 259 yards.

Yeah, UM needs a ton of help if they want a chance at a conference title (and/or their streak of consecutive playoff appearances). Weber played a great game today, and the Griz helped quite a bit. Kudos to the wildcats for a great win!

To bait the hook a little bit, I'll have to check around to see how quick Montana fans were to blame the weather when it started to rain a little bit late in the third and into the fourth.

Oh, come on. You get kudos for a good game and you immediately want to check for some bad-weather Montana fans. I'm sure there are some, of course, but no more than believe in UFO's, Elvis sightings etc.

The weather certainly helped in the latter stages of the game (as Weber's running game is mondo better than Montana's, even in perfect weather), but any fair sports fan would say that the three picks and the one running-into-the-kicker play were much more to blame than the weather.

That's what I would have thought two years ago as well, but all we got then always seemed to contain, "If the weather hadn't been bad..."

Meh. That was then. This year you guys beat us fair and square. I won't offer up excuses. :) Not sure about any other griz faithful, but I try to be objective. *heh*

Well it did only rain on the Griz players and the field was only wet and slippery for the Griz players.

or the Weber players are like ninja's, they can dodge the raindrops and step only on dry grass blades.

The Griz announcer on tv called Weber state the Bobcats at least once.

You would think the university with a media school could get a decent set of announcers.

You would think the university with a media school could get a decent set of announcers. Our media school has nothing to do with the broadcasts. If it did, they wouldn't be so terrible.

This Griz team is bad. Real bad. Most poorly coached team I think I've ever seen in Maroon and Silver. I like our chances to win out at home, but I don't see us making it far in the playoffs. xmadx

Speaking of which, those uniforms had no visible maroon on them. Didn't look like Montana at all on the field.

Hey Weber State fans,.. some good news and some bad news. The good news is you all of a sudden will make the top 25 for beating the mighty Griz. The bad news is somehow Montana will still move up in the polls. (?) Not saying cause I think my Bison should be rated (cause they shouldn't),... Just sayin'...xwhistlex

Great win for Weber, and the best team on this day won. But it's only two in a row if you conveniently forget the two thumpings the Wildcats took from UM between these wins.

Not a lot of help. Need EWU to lose to Idaho State and the Griz beat Montana State in Missoula to share the title.

Eastern losing to ISU qualifies as "a lot of help", IMO

Can you not just be happy with the win?

Can you not just be happy with the win?

Not when fans are attributing the win to weather elements and not the play on the field.

Yeah so? EWU is the only team to beat the Griz both at home and in Missoula in the last 5 years. :D

How are them 'Hawks and Sonics doing this year? :D

When was the win in Missoula? I'm assuming '05.

Hawks have a winning record, and Sonics (some people call them the "Thunder" xrolleyesx ), are going to contend with the Lakers for the West this year. ;)

Yes, the last win was '05. Although '07 and '09 were damn close too.
