Is Lehigh this good?

Lehigh is this good...
and Colgate is this bad today
sorry we couldn't make it more of a game 1st half
would like to see hasenberg as QB

TheValleyRaider
October 30th, 2010, 01:56 PM
Worst half this season for the Raiders. No defensive answer for the Hawks, and outside of the first and last drives no movement on offense. The loss of Sullivan and Rosnick hurts, preventing movement, but if the defense won't stop anyone, then we have no shot

Regroup in the locker room, and come out scoring to start the 2nd half, and we might have a shot of getting back into this one, but that's a long shot right now

Don't see the point in switching QBs right now, though I doubt Biddle goes there. Rizzo got a TD to end the half, let's see if we can build on that momentum, at least a little bit...

Well, that sucked. No answer defensively, no movement offensively, just a poor effort all around. Some of the offense's woes can be excused by Rizzo getting his first career start, but overall just a long long day for the Raiders. Promising season now ends after the next 3 weeks....

If you want to the most atrocious football game ever played, everyone here should now go have a look at Lafayette/Bucknell.

You guys will have no trouble whatsoever.

BTW - O'Neil was pulled before the half for ineffective play for Lafayette. Quilling is in.

great win for Lehigh, totally decimated Gate D. Missing Sullivan made game very tough for Raiders. Eachus is great but he cant do it alone. Sullivan certainly would have kept game closer, but Gate D too porous to passing for them to beat us when lum has a good game. Lucky for us he is finally starting to play up to his ability

Watching this game from the stands today was like a time warp watching the old "Air Lehigh" of old. Receivers were wide open all over and Lum had all day to pass. We also showed a bit of a run game as well later as we had the lead. No question the lack of Sullivan hurt the 'gate offense, but in the long run I don't think that made a difference in the outcome. The defense was stoked and applied good pressure today and everyone followed their positions. Some great calls by Cecchini with the reverses with Spadola who is becoming a real weapon. Back up QB Colvin also was sharp with the TD pass to the TE off the fake run. Screens were called at the right time when 'gate was blitzing.. All in all it was the most dominating win by Lehigh in years when both the O and D turned in 'A' games.

This really sets the table for next week up in Worcester. I can't wait to get on the bus!

Go...gate

Seems to me that, on top of everything else, Lehigh was due against us.

Seems to me that, on top of everything else, Lehigh was due against us.

I agree that Lehigh was due to some extent. Given how competitive this series has been the last 12 years it would have been hard to believe one team would win 4 straight.

Lehigh faces the same thing next week against HC. The last time the Hawks beat the Crusaders was 2006. As it stands now HC the defending champ and they control their destiny. Their at home and they wear the bulls-eye.

This Lehigh team seems to be on a mission. Next week will be interesting.

Would rather see Lehigh win the league and spread the title wealth. Won't be easy in Worcester with their 13 game unbeaten streak at home. Well-deserved win, congrats.

Just got back from Bethlehem, meet an old Colgate grad that I had not seen for a few and had a great time.(he didn't)Went to Brew Works friday night and saw downtown area. Even bumped into a few guys off the '77 championship team. Got to tailgate by 10:30 next morning and meet a lot of nice people including the Southside Booster group. The view walking in to Goodman is awesome, even got to sit on home side with pretty good seats(I expected a bigger crowd) Lehighs passing game and run defense were very impressive, just need to work on kickoffs.Enjoyed the day and finished it off by going to sports bar-Starters.Thanks to all in the area, was a great weekend and good luck the remaining 3.
