It was like that in the 60's when I was at SLC for a semester and then at McNeese for 7 semesters, as well. An 18 year hiatus for SLU just put the same intensity on hold.

Wish they could all be this intense...other than watching a 52-yard FG go through the uprights with no time on the clock, it was a great game to watch...especially as defensive battles go.

Coach V said it was the most physical game he'd seen in a long time in the SLC. McNeese has a lot of players sitting out practice this week to be able to play Saturday against the Colonels. Playing Nicholls ain't no fun either on a physicalness level.
