CHICAGO — The Gridiron Power Index (GPI), the index ranking for the NCAA Division I FCS and a top indicator of at-large playoff selection released its index after the action of Week 7 of the 2010 season with Delaware of the Colonial Athletic Association remaining in the No. 1 spot.
With the addition of Indiana State - and its first-time appearance in the GPI Top 25 - the Missouri Valley Conference tied the Big Sky conference with five teams apiece in the top 25. The Colonial Athletic Association continues to rule to GPI roost with six teams in the Top 25 (all in the Top 15); the Southern Conference follows the CAA MVC and Big Sky with four teams this week, the Ohio Valley Conference and Southland conferences follow with two teams each, and the Great West, and Mid-Eastern Athletic conferences have one each.
How about that - Indiana State makes its first Top 25 in recent memory! xsmileyclapx
