I find it interesting the other pollsters (myself not included) don't give more love to Western Illinois. Sam Houston St. and Indiana St. seem to be the "flavor of the week" ORV and WIU beat the crap out of both of them.

UNH is the only team in the poll with two losses to unranked teams. That's probably it.

Agreed. Just weird to see them so close in the poll but not ahead when they just beat them .. my guess is that there's a big spread in the evaluation of them. Some have them out because of their two bad losses (no argument there) and some have them in because of perception and the win over JMU, and I'm guessing they have them pretty high at that. I think it's probably some have them top 13 or so and the rest have them barely ranked or out of the top 25 altogether.

IMO Liberty is too high as well. 0-2 vs Top 25 shouldn't get you to 15.

I was one that dropped the ball and left out Indian St. I had them in my poll last week but had a brain fart and left them out this week for what reason? I don't know.

Everyone should start fearing the Panthers though, they only turned the ball over once and botched a snap for a FGA. They're coming around!

I'd guess around '83 and '84, the last years that they made the playoffs. I'm pretty sure they haven't been since I started paying attention to FCS/I-AA football (around '97)

Not terribly surprising. RMU is unbeaten, has a win over Liberty to their credit, and recently hammered one of the NEC's more well-regarded clubs in Albany

Colgate has consecutive blowouts over 3 otherwise unimpressive foes, plus their big loss to Furman and the general malaise surrounding the PL this year

Luckily, our fate is where it belongs: in our hands. Win, and the rest will take care of itself :)

Currently, Colgate is not more impressive than Lehigh. Two weeks from now we'll know the answer to that question I suppose. A better showing against Furman would have helped your case, but it's difficult to rank a team who's most impressive win is against Georgetown.

It should be noted that I had NAU #12. That being said, there isn't much on the resume that warrants them being too high just yet so I support the other voters who didn't move them up that high. Usually when a fan base starts whining like this, they are right about where they should be and the fans are looking for a nice number before the team falls back to reality. We shall certainly see this weekend how good NAU is.

Thanks for letting us know (I had them at 20 after putting them at No. 18 following win over Southern Utah and falling to 24 after loss to Eastern Washington) ... maybe next week, I might get a case of selective amnesia and not put them in at all xshhhx Of course, if NAU takes care of business this week in Missoula, they're gonna move up considerably IMO as I don't see a loss the rest of the way.

Let's not forget what Montana St. did to Eastern Washington - I don't hear you saying anything about them being rated a few spots above them. That's a more impressive win over a top 8-10 team

I have no problem with EWU, MSU and NAU being bunched together in the 8-15 range, in most any order.
I personally would rank the BSC teams EWU, NAU, MSU, and UM right now, but still a lot of football to play

I think Georgia could beat a lot of teams in the FBS poll too but I don't see them ranked because they didn't win their games. Robert Morris is winning their games and is a quality team. Everyone has had 6/7 games to show their worth so far and no matter how good we think Elon/SIU/etc are, they haven't proven to be a Top 25 program for 2010.
