Billy Napier, most recently the quarterbacks coach at South Carolina State in 2005 and former all-conference quarterback at Furman, has been named tight ends coach at Clemson University. Clemson Head Coach Tommy Bowden made the announcement on Monday.

Since we posted earlier that Napier had been promoted Offensive Coordinator at SC State, thought we would continue the story now that he has moved to Clemson.

I am sure it is a good move for Billy but would have like to have seen him hang around Orangeburg a little longer.

Napier is moving fast for a guy who in 2002 was still wearing the Paladin Uniform.

Watch out for the Tigers next year in the ACC. They have good players coming back and had a great signing day. They are going to be tough.

And with Proctor being a quicker QB than Whitehurst, tough is the best word indeed. September 9th at Boston College and September 16th at Florida State will show us the real Clemson in 2006. If they can at least split those two, gonna have a damn good year. GO CATAMOUNTS!!!
