On an emotional homecoming at McGuirk Stadium, UMass led 10-5 with 1:51 left, but Richmond drove to score its lone touchdown with nine seconds left to defeat the Minutemen, 11-10, on Saturday afternoon. In front of a near-sellout crowd of 16,421, UMass dropped its first CAA game of the season. John Griffin gained 81 rushing yards for the Minutemen.
