Not sure if anyone on here is the "designated attendance thread starter" :), but I just couldn't wait to get on here and mention the 17,414 that showed up for Chattanooga's win over Georgia Southern

Second largest UTC crowd in Finley Stadium history.

Considering less then two years ago the Mocs would be lucky to have 4,000 at a game...it is very heartening to see my fellow Chattanoogan's support of the Mocs.

And kudo to the GSU fans...they brought a great crowd (I would estimate at least 1,500)

Great game, great atmosphere.

Congrats UTC. You deserve it and a great win. You might sway some of those UT fans to come see some awesome football at Finley. One great venue.

Congrats on the win and the crowd. I'm glad we did our part on the attendance, but disappointed that we also did our part on the win, too. Can't agree that it was a great game, in that I'm convinced that penalties are what did us in. Please note that I'm not saying that they were bad calls, just that we had way too many penalties and they all seemed to be at crucial points, especially the roughing the holder.

Felt like more, but it was still good enough for #6 on the all-time attendance list. Top 10 are all wins now (bye GSU upset) so that's pretty cool too

There were 6,425 fans as Montana beat Portland State at a High School stadium in Portland. I also did notice the Northern Arizona had a decent crowd of 12,500 as they Creamed Montana State 34-7.

12,218 at Harvard Stadium to see Harvard screw the pooch.

FIFY, ng. A mighty choke by the Crimson. Inexcusable, wind or no. Will Harvard EVER have a decent pass defense?

They announced at the game it was the largest crowd since 2004, which was 2 years before Flacco ever played a snap for UD... Who is correct?

What would the percentage be of town population or enrollment?
JSU yesterday would be about 150+% of either. Too lazy to be exact.

I believe Boone's permanent population is in the neighborhood of 15k. Appalachian brings 16k students to the mix. Yesterday's attendance of 29519 would be nearly 200% of the town's population. Yesterday's weather was also absolutley awesome - crisp, cool, not a cloud in the sky.

If Appalachian can *average* 30,512 attendance when The Vermin and the Ankle-Biters come to The Rock for the final 2 home games ...

Season average attendance will be 30k per game

As an aside, I just called our ticket office to buy 5 more for us and App State on 11/6 and was informed that there were only 4 actual seats available on the press box side of Paulson. I bought three of those and two general admission (sitting on the grass bank). There were more seats available on the other side but still that seems to me to be an indication that we'll have a really big crowd for that one, since it's three weeks away. Not a surprise, of course, being that it's App State and homecoming, but it does beg the question of just how many we'll have. Also, I was told that we only gave App State 250, so if you're planning to come down for the game and haven't gotten tickets yet it sounds like you better get them now.
