From Joe Dwyer's Feb 3rd column. For the whole column, click the link. Congrats to the Lumberjacks!

------------
Who currently has the longest winning streak in the nation? Chances are you probably would not have guessed Northern Arizona.

When Oklahoma halted Texas’ nine-game winning streak, last Saturday, NAU officially became the hottest team in America. With a win over Portland State on Thursday, the streak reached ten games.

And that’s just one reason to bottle the entire week and put on the mantle for a cold winter night in Flagstaff.

On Monday morning the Lumberkjacks found themselves ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 for just the second time in school history (2002-03 season). Later that day it was announced that NAU would be a part of ESPN’s Bracketbusters and their game at Western Kentucky would be one of thirteen televised games.

Ooops...didn't realize that. Still nice to see NAU get some national pub... :)

Yes - it was great while it lasted - NAU has a tough stretch to end the season - at Montana State, at Western Kentucky, at Sac State, and at Montana.

The Northern Arizona/Western Kentucky game should be a good one then.  Next year WKU travels to NAU :rotateh: :rotateh:. I am assuming that your team will fly to Nashville, TN then drive to Bowling Green, KY which is about an hour away.

That would be my assumption as well....I hope to be able to get up to the game, if I can re-arrainge a prior commitment.
