It's too early in the season to accurately project where these two drivers will finish in the final point standings. Both are running extremely well, and I predict that we will see them in the Chase. Biffle said that he would overcome the leader (which is currently J. Johnson) and be first in points by the time the NASCAR Cup Series makes its way to Michigan. I personally don't think that will happen, but I admire Biffle for being focused on the championship.

Who do you guys think will be the points leader by the time the circuit rolls around to Michigan? The current top ten point leaders:

1. -- Jimmie Johnson Leader
2. +1 Jeff Gordon -127
3. +1 Greg Biffle -148
4. -2 Kurt Busch -229
5. -- Elliott Sadler -252
6. +5 Mark Martin -293
7. -1 Tony Stewart -297
8. +2 Jamie McMurray -302
9. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. -307
10. +5 Ryan Newman -314

Hard to say but I don't count Busch out yet either. I would guess it will be one of the top four on the list now.

Too early to call now. But I can see Gordon or Biffle getting the top spot at some point in the season before the Chase. (not really going out on a limb, am I? haha)

Is this the highest that any of you can remember "Bug-Eyed" Biffle being in the point standings in his Cup career? He seems to have a really good personality. He could capitalize on that if he gets a Championship. He could easily become a fan favorite.

Well, he's only been in the Cup since 2003, his rookie year. But he is a past Truck Series and Busch Series Champ, so the man can wheel a race car. I guess it was a just matter of time before everything started to come together for him in the Cup Series.

I think he and Mayfield kind of look alike.
