Troy Aikman, Harry Carson, John Madden, Warren Moon, Reggie White and Rayfield Wright...

Irvin did not make the cut. A bit surprised he was not in the final six as he was last year...

Aikman and Madden as well as White were locks. Moon was bubble, but I am glad that he got in. Wright is long overdue and Carson, that was nice to see...

Madden wasn't already in? I didn't know that. I knew White would get in and am happy to see Moon get in as well.

they say the off field problems of Irvin shouldn't be a factor in the voting...but I would bet it was with some voters.

UCLA (Aikman), Cal Poly (Madden), and Washington (Moon) all get almuni in the Hall of Fame.

I wouldn't vote for Irvin because he probably wouldn't be able to read his acceptance speech that somebody else wrote for him. Everyone else got in was very deserving.. especially Warren Moon, too bad he never won the big one.

Very glad for Carson and Wright - both were tremendous players.

Thurman Thomas didn't make it either, depite having over 16,000 yards from scrimmage and 88 TD's, winning the MVP once and having a couple of seasons in which he had over 2000 yards from scrimmage. He is also in the top 20 in NFL history in several catagories, including TD's, rushing, yards from scrimmage. He had over 2000 yards from scrimmage in playoff games also.

I know he and Patty quite well and am quite disappointed in the lack of respect given his career by the committee. Maybe next year...

He suffers from the Super Bowl Losers Syndrome. It's taken a lot of years of politicing to get some of the Minnesota Vikings greats from the 1970's into the Hall of Fame. Thomas will get his due eventually, he was a great player.
