No one started one, so figured I would

Power Rankings:
1. Liberty - Signs of rebound against Savannah State...but it is Savannah State. Big test vs. spoiler Charleston Southern
2. Stony Brook - Led U Mass deep into 4th quarter. Healthy roster after a bye poised to make noise in the conference and @ LaFayette
3. Charleston Southern - 2 D2 wins and a close loss to Wofford. All signs that the Bucs will give some unsuspecting Big South team all it can handle
4. Gardner Webb - Win vs. Akron starting to look distant after 3 straight losses
5. Coastal Carolina - Has a lot to prove in conference to match high expectations
6. VMI - Win over Presby ends conflict over which team is at the bottom of the conference rankings. Potential for noise in-conference
7. Presbyterian - If conference treats them like it did last year, only chance for a win this season is vs. Davidson in the last week of the season

Game Predictions (Only 4 Big South teams see action on Saturday)
VMI @ SBU (Homecoming) - SBU by 3 TDs
Charleston Southern @ Liberty (Homecoming) - Liberty, but by a touchdown at most. Chuck South always poses a problem for conference contenders.

2 Homecoming Big South Conference games this weekend...

VMI @ Stony: Stony by 3TD's sounds about right.
CSU @ Liberty: CSU by 3 points

It is Statement Saturday for CSU. We believe we are contenders this year. We have an experienced and talented team. It is time for our guys to step up and show we are for real. Our guys have been talking Championship all year. This is the game we need to make a statement. There will probably be close to 20,000 at Liberty. That shouldn't phase our guys. They have played in a packed Swamp in Florida. They have played in front of 30,000+ in Hawaii. The atmosphere in Lynchburg should not be a factor. We just need to go out and take care of business.

Toughness is the key for my Buccaneers. Physical toughness. Mental toughness.

1. Liberty- Good rebound vs teh Tigers...homecoming has been good to LU since 07
2. Stony Brook- Almost knocked off UMass, definitely a solid contender in conference
3. Charleston Southern- If CSU wants to make noise and take that step to top tier team, they need to get a win someplace they have not had success in recent history
4. Coastal Carolina- Chants were a top 3 pick for me in the preseason...they have not showed well the last few weeks
5. Gardner-Webb- The win over Akron was supposed to be a springboard to a huge season down in Boiling Springs...now unless the Bulldogs pull of a couple upsets, the seat may be getting hotter for Steve Patton
6. VMI- showed some flashes with the new offense but Lock Haven and Presbyterian arent exactly a murderer's row...
7. Presbyterian- The Blue Hose are a dumpster fire that is quickly spreading and could be on their way to another winless season after losing to VMI last week

Predictions
SBU 41, VM! 7- SBU dominates in their first conference home game
LU 42, CSU 31- Lynchburg has proven to be Waterloo for the Bucs as they have lost the last 4 trips, including a 42-0 pasting in the 08 homecoming game
