How successful do you think Michael Waltrip will be as a team owner? Will his racing company eventually exceed his lackluster driving career? Will his association with Toyota make it harder, or easier, to lure talent?

I personally think that Mikey seems like a pretty smart businessman. But, it seems like he could have learned so much more about racing during his career than he actually did. Wasted opportunity. Oh, well. Here's to the #55 NAPA Autoparts Dodge having a great season :beerchug:

Judging by the success they Toyota had in the CTS in 2005 I would say it might take 2 years, then they will dominate - however, what I am reading is that unlike the CTS NASCAR will limit their direct support to the teams (no Corporate sponsored teams) to keep non-Toyota owners competitive.

My guess is, regardless of the owners and NASCAR "restrictions", Toyota will figure out a way to dominate in 3 - 5 years. And sponsors shouldn't be a problem for Mikey, I doubt he would have the funding problems of other new or small owners.
