I am not one to get too uptight about rankings but I do scratch my head about the lack of "love" given to the Mocs by the Coaches.

I am not advocating the Mocs be ranked, but, in the AGS and TSN polls...the Mocs have hovered between 27th-35th for a month now...in this time not a single coach has cast a single vote for Chattanooga.

Like I said, I am not really upset by it, just more puzzled than anything else. My assumption is, the "sample size" is so much smaller for the coaches poll that not nearly as many teams will be recognized.

As in all things...if the Mocs prove it on the field, everything else will take care of itself...and they didn't against ASU and JSU (but still, not one coach thinks Chattanooga might be one of the 25 best teams in the country when they were only a failed 2-pt conversion away from beating the current #1 team?)

I agree, Chattanooga should be ranked. UNH can lose to two unranked teams and still be in the top 25, but somehow Chattanooga can lose to the #1 and #3 ranked teams, and not get any love? If the Mocs can take out Elon and GaSou a top 25 position should be inevitable, however, that looming Auburn game could turn a three loss season into a playoff no-go depending on how App State, GaSou, and Wofford finish out the year.

There have always been screwy things with this poll. Monmouth gets 15 points, while Maine and ODU get none. Both beat Monmouth on the road. It's clear that many of the 27 coaches who vote do very little homework before they cast their ballot.

They haven't seen them play. If so they would be in the top 25.
Just keep winning and it will come.

This poll is a joke, for example who are the two teams NDSU has lost too, and where are those teams in relation to the Bison.

Exactly! Monmouth has no business getting any votes, certainly not 5x as many points as RMU.

Gotta say I'm shocked that UNH stays in the top 25 and Maine who beat them and lost to #5 William & Mary by 3 points is no where to be seen!

Amazing that 3-loss teams are in the poll, shows the lack of depth that voters have.

That ugly 3-0 loss to albany has a lot to do with it

I'd say it has more to do with how many teams have losses so far. The last few weeks have seen the top 25 littered with losses. Getting tough to get one's arms around the parity in the major leagues. xtwocentsx

And something with an arch rival wanting to break a seven game losing streak at home and take a musket back.

Montana ahead of Eastern Washington and Cal Poly? really? I guess the head to head match ups don't count for much.

Don't feel lonely...William & Mary is in front of UMass, even though the Minutemen beat the Tribe in the season opener...
