Anyone following this game? W&M is completely dominating Villanova, 21-0 near the end of the 2nd quarter.

W&M's defense is playing really well and Nova's offense decided not to show up. They are way better than this. Not having Szczur is no excuse to not put up points. Nova's defense is actually playing pretty good despite the score. One TD was a pick 6, and W&M has gotten a couple of key 3rd and 4th downs - all to their credit. W&M's QB has been way better than nova expected him to be. Nova's gameplan was to stop the run, but Paulus is tearing apart that game plan with his passing game. I think Nova will come out and make the score look better in the 2nd half, but the odds of winning this game are very slim.

Tribe Defense is channeling last year's team, and Nova's obviously missing their offensive star. Mike Paulus looks sharp in his first start for W&M, and the Tribe held the cats to a field goal after his only mistake, a pick deep in W&M territory. Definitely looking for VU to make a run, hope the tribe stays focused and rises to the challenge.

Flipping back and forth between W&M beating down Nova 21-3 at the half and Dartmouth vs Penn.

ESPN is showing a loss by three in overtime, but URI's website agrees with you.

Bears Fall To Rhody, 27-24, In Overtime
October 2, 2010
In a hard fought battle for the Governor’s Cup, Brown’s overtime field goal didn’t match a Rhode Island touchdown, as the Bears dropped their first game of the season, 27-24, in overtime before a sellout crowd of 7,622 at Meade Stadium. The loss drops the Bears to 2-1 overall, 1-0 in the Ivy League, while Rhode Island evened its record at 2-2.

W&M has a personal foul at 3rd and 1. Can't covert on 3rd and 16. 42 yard field goal is good.
W&M - 31
Nova - 10
9:30 left in Q4

Nova converted on 4th and 30. Hail Mary pass for a TD. Still, W&M in VERY good shape.

Well, I said that Nova would make the score look better but would still lose, so looks like I had it just about right. Great game W&M. If nova doesn't shape up, they won't make the playoffs. With the loss to Temple, Nova can only lose 1 more game, and still has to face Richmond, JMU, Delaware, and UNH. Tough road ahead.

it's over...
W&M recovered the onside kick and got a first down by running. Kneeled down to run out the clock.

Both W&M and Nova Look dangerous to me. Looks like a typical CAA season.

I've got to think that there's going to be a CAA team that gets in at 7-4. Will be interesting to see if the 5th place team manages to do better than 6-5.

There was video but it was on a local Philly station, WPHL channel 17. They usually don't do CAA games.

Bye week this week for us will be huge. We're pretty beat up.
I'd be surprised if a 7-4 Nova team did not make the playoffs. At 7 wins, we would have beaten 2 of JMU/Richmond/UNH/Delaware. Not to mention 3 other CAA games. With the expanded playoffs, I think (unless the Bubble is very large) postseason is likely for this team and no need to panic yet. That being said, 8-3 and there is no doubt.
At Maine in two weeks will be a real test...they are no slouch with a win over UNH this weekend and a close loss to W&M. Factor in the long travel and we could have something interesting there.

I think W&M has found a new QB.
Agree 100%, Michael Paulus looks like the real deal, but will Mike Callahan return to the starting job? I think Paulus gives W&M the best chance to win a title, and don't forget the UNC game on 10/30 either
