After red-shirt year, WR a reliable target for Devlin

Nihja White came to the University of Delaware to play football after originally committing to Duke and also being offered preferred walk-on status at Penn State.

No wonder the Conestoga (Pa.) High graduate, who hauled in 103 passes for 2,076 yards and 34 touchdowns his last two high school seasons, was viewed as one of the prizes in the Blue Hens’ 2008 recruiting class.

And then he arrived at Delaware, settled into his first football camp. Soon UD coaches wondered whether White had forgotten to pack that talent and potential for the trip to college.
