Off the field, the football program's most recent Academic Progress Rate score of 970 fell just shy of earning an NCAA Public Recognition Award, which recognizes programs that rank among the nation's top 10 percent in terms of APR scores.

Norfolk State had the highest APR in the MEAC. They were also recognized.

I do not ever recall Appalachian having any APR problems, so doesn't surprise me. Does surprise me at a couple of the small private schools are not higher than they are.

You never hear any suspensions for APR on Norfolk State either that I recall.

That's great.

Just thought I would try to make the thread a little longer.

according to this: http://web1.ncaa.org/maps/aprRelease.jsp the CAA "multi year rate" (which might well be different than the rate that is used in the OP) shakes out as:

Northeastern - 985
Richmond - 983
William and Mary - 980
Maine - 980
Villanova - 978
New Hampshire - 977
Hofstra - 964
Towson - 961
James Madison - 940
Rhode Island - 938
Delaware - 929
UMass - 927

All this tells me is the higher your APR the more likely your team will not be on the field next year.

App, Elon, Furman, El Cid and Wofford seemingly performed well.

App 970
Elon 965
Furman 974
El Cid 965
Wofford 973

Chatty at 885 and GSU at 920 looks like they're penalized.......

That new interface bites --- they used to link to the team PDFs through a simple single alphabetical letter that would scroll through teams.

Vermin University bites, too xlolx but Appalachian is trending up through through 2008-2009 // FU: 955 // AS-U: 985. We'll get 'em in 2011 xwhistlex

... based on NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data submitted by the institution for the 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, and
2008-2009 academic years.

UTC is trending down with 867 for 2008-2009 -- that will kill their rolling average moving forward. The Real GSU (Not that other GSU xsmhx that is not Grambling) is 907 for so they're trending down a bit. Not sure what the **Immediate Penalty - Scholarship Reduction = 3.53** is all about for The Real GSU. Elon is trending up a bit at 971 for 2008-09. WC a tick up at 977 and The Cid down at 949.

For UTC:

Historical Penalty - Public Notice = Yes
Historical Penalty - Scholarship Reduction = 3.3 (For the next 2 years?)
Historical Penalty - Practice Reduction = Yes (I think it's their Friday)
