South Dakota’s two largest universities and their Division I athletic programs have earned the state’s congratulations this fall.
The University of South Dakota recently defeated Big 10 Conference opponent University of Minnesota on the football field. Last weekend, South Dakota State held its ground in a showdown with powerhouse Nebraska.
For a state unaccustomed to the sports limelight, the attention these games have attracted feels great.
