NEW YORK – Senior defensive back Calvin Otis was honored as one of the Defensive Back Performers of the Week by CollegeFootballPerformance.com, the wesbite announced Monday. Otis had a pair of fourth-quarter interceptions and seven tackles, including six solo stops, in Columbia's 24-10 win over Towson on Saturday. Both of Otis' interceptions came late in the game as Towson was in Columbia territory. The first came after the Lions had just taken a 21-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. After Towson's Chris Hart connected with Hakeem Moore on a 25-yard catch, Otis picked off Hart's next pass at the Lions' nine-yard line to stall the drive.
