He watched South Dakota upset Minnesota. He took notice when James Madison beat No. 13 Virginia Tech and Kansas fell to North Dakota State.
Six Football Championship Subdivision teams have beaten Football Bowl Subdivision teams this season, so ISU knows it can’t go through the motions against Northern Iowa, ranked No. 15 in the FCS poll, on Saturday (6 p.m., Mediacom) and expect to win.
