The UMass football team is up to No. 9 and No. 11 in the national FCS polls after the near upset at Michigan on Saturday, falling 42-37 to the BCS Wolverines. At No. 11 in the Sports Network poll, UMass has its highest ranking since being No. 10 on Oct. 13, 2008. Tailback Jonathan Hernandez was named the UMass Athlete of the Week while quarterback Kyle Havens was named to the College Football Performance Honorable Mention Team of the Week for the second week in a row.
