So, Tiger wins yesterday with his "B" game. How many tournaments do you think he'll win this year? How many Majors?
I'm guessing 8 tournaments including 2 majors.........But it's early in the season!!!! :)
(So far, he only has 12 tournaments scheduled.)

It depends on his health, and the health of his dad. I could see him missing the rest of the season if his dad passes. If his dad stays relatively healthy, I will say 5 wins, 2 majors.

If he's only scheduled for 12 tournaments, including the 4 majors, I'll go with 6. Two majors and 3 more 'regulars.' Amazing tournamant yesterday with almost a dozen bunched up near the end.

The Buick was a hell of a tournament. Torrey Pines South is a monster. What did they say it was, like 7600 yards??? Holy crap.

Tiger is only scheduled for 12 right now but he often waits until a couple weeks before the tournament to enter it. I don't know how many he'll be in this year but I'm sure it wall be considerably more than 12. (Health permitting of course!)
After all, he just bought that 10 acres in FL and is building several homes on it. If I'm not mistaken his is 30,000 + square feet. Gotta pay for it somehow!(I wonder if he'll have an indoor driving range? :)

If the rest of the field keeps pissing victories down their legs like they did yesterday, he might end up with 10. The last 45 minutes of that tournament were a fricking joke. From Phil three putting back-to-back holes, to the embarrassment of the newbie on the first playoff hole, to Jose Maria missing the gimmie put on the 2nd OT hole....they might as well have gift wrapped the thing and given it to him. He blandly three putts the 18th on the first playoff hole and NEITHER guy could scrounge together a birdie to take it away from him....embarrassing.

But in a way, watching those Pro's do that really makes me feel better. I can't put a finger on it as to why! :) :)

Believe me, there are no gimmes on the par threes at Torrey Pines South. While the 16th isn't the 11th, the 16th (at that time of day) can be very unpredictable. Have you ever been to the La Jolla/Del Mar area?

I lived in San Diego for 8 months................hated it! Fresh out of school, newly married, didn't know anyone and a job I hated which was all consuming.
Loved the Zoo though! (And happy hour row in the valley!!!)

I think it is too early to say. As some people have said already: his health and/or his dad's health. Let's just wait and see...

I've played both of those courses several times (military benefit!!!) and, while I realize there are no gimmes, someone of JMO's stature should NOT be missing those short putts, especially after the brilliant sand shot he made to have the opportunity to get up and down and continue the tournament.

Tiger wins again in another playoff. Only gets $400,000 for the win but an additional $3,000,000 just for showing up!
I like Tiger Woods a lot but that's a heck of a lot of money just for showing up!!!
Including the playoff hole, he hit the ball 274 times in the tournament. That's $12,408.75 per stroke over 4 days when his appearance fee is included. Why the heck did I hate golf when I was a youngster!!!!???
(Not a fair way to look at his earnings as he's one of the hardest working athletes in any sport!)

And I spent 20 minutes yesterday trying to explain to my wife why Tiger will never play in the Phoenix Open again....
Nice victory by the porn star, though.

I think he only hit 2 fairways today. One of which he ended up with a bogey! He hit less than 50% of the fairways for the entire tournament. (Maybe I shouldn't try to change that part of my game!:) )

The greatest golfers never let their prior shot effect their next one. That is what makes a Nicklaus, a Palmer, a Woods. They all have had their shanks, hooks, slices, but they salvage their game with the following shot. Those that let the mistakes linger in their minds compound their mistakes. The mark of a champion. Never fear failure. Never look back. Get up and move on.

Sorry. I hadn't read this thread in a while. The guy who won the Phoenix Open's name was J.D. Holmes. His given name is John Holmes. He stopped using that for fear of being mistaken for the legendary porn star....
They showed a stat on the screen yesterday that, other than the Nissan Open (from which he withdrew because of the flu), Tiger has WON EVERY STROKE PLAY TOURNEY HE HAS ENTERED THIS YEAR. It's freakin' March, and the guy hasn't lost in stroke play. Unbelievable.

My Father-In-Law sent me naked pictures of Tigers Wife. She a Swedish Model. Not bad, but with all his $$ I'd think he could have found someone with real "knockers" that looked good!

I would have rated her better except for the fake body parts! I don't like anything on a women that might break my teeth!
