BIRMINGHAM, Ala.---The Samford football team practiced for about an hour in shorts and helmets Sunday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The Bulldogs are preparing for Saturday's Southern Conference opener against the top-ranked Appalachian State Mountaineers at Seibert Stadium.
