Furman's played well. USC is just big and strong on both sides of the ball. Gamecocks leading 28-6 in the third.
At least Furman managed as many points as UGA did.
Mark this. Furman defense is much improved. Hard to make a good assessment playing an SEC team, but the guys are getting to the ball and have picked off Garcia.
Chris Forcier left with a wrist injury. Not sure how serious.

It's also good to know that not even one of the best defenses in the top college football conference in the country can cover Adam Mims.

Pass to Adam Mims for a long gainer to close out the quarter. 31-13 Gamecocks.
Spurrier's starters are still in the game. Just like we wanted.

Worley clear overshoots his receiver for a pick six.
That probably seals it. 38-19

Man. That was on the doorsteps of turning this game on its ear.

Not a bad day of offense for the pallies. Not a bad day at all. UGA probably wishes they could have borrowed your offense for the game last week. xlolx

Ball game. 38-19 South Carolina.
Great showing by the Paladins. Adam Mims 202 receiving yards against one of the nation's best defenses is worthy of note. He may well be the nation's top reciever. Furman's defense is worlds better than they were last year. Only concern is the status of Chris Forcier.

I was watching the game. There were plays were Lattimore couldn't move. Furman had a bit of trouble covering all of USC's big receivers at times, but there's no team we'll play the rest of the season with a handful of 6'4 220 lbs wideouts.
Even got Spurrier to throw his headset a few times. He talked this week about wanting to get his backups playing time. Well, they did only in about the last 5 minutes of the game. Up until the overthrow and pick six late in the third, the issue was still in doubt.

It's a loss, but I think that's the one position we could take a hit. Furman's got great depth at QB.
Heck, after the rope Uhaa threw, put him back there to take snaps.

SC outgained us something like 370-320. Not bad. Held the next Jim Brown to under 100 yds, It was good to see Spurrier throw his headset onto the field on SC's last offensive play. Hate that Forcier is out for the season. Shawn Boone a true freshman DE had the pick 6, He also had a sack. Good to see our DL get penetration and throw Lattimore(the next Jim Brown) for losses in several plays.

I don't think I've ever seen a pick six on a swing pass by a DE. Great athleticism by Boone.
