A day after being voted as Southern Conference Freshman of the Week, freshman quarterback Matt Thompson (Ormond Beach, Fla.) earned SoCon X-Factor of the Week by SouthernPigskin.com after an impressive collegiate debut on Saturday in the Bulldogs' 56-14 season-opening victory over the Chowan Hawks at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
