That's the most points anyone has scored in the NBA in MY LIFETIME!!!!! As a 30-year-old, that says something.

In the words of ESPN's Dan Patrick, "You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him". Best player in the game. Why the hatred AppGuy?

2nd most points in the 60 year history of the NBA and a Laker record.

I just don't like the Lakers

plus his whole "rape" case or whatever you want to call it just made me despise him, whether he was guilty or not

besides, who can't score 81 when you take almost 50 shots

It hasnt happened in most of our lifetimes and yet people will always find hate. I know people have problems with his "image" but put the hateraid down and look at the fact. He took 46 shots and shot over 60%(+50% from downtown) while doing and it was all in the context of bringing his team back from a 20 point defecit. It was the greatest individual thing most have seen in NBA basketball(Wilt's 100 point game came without any media coverage and a nearly empty gym). Direct TV NBA league pass def. payed off last night!

I never said it wasn't an amazing feat, however, he is somewhat of a ball hog

Who should he pass it too? Smush parker? Luke Walton? Brian Cook?

They won the game, that's what matters. I am a die-hard Bulls fan and hate the Lakers with a passion, but Kobe can flat out play. You can't deny that. Just like Favre. I hate the f-ing CheeseHeads, but I have the utmost respect for him, and he is/was a damn good QB. And if he shot over 50% from the floor every game no one would complain. He has to shoot so much because he has noone to pass to. Like noted earlier, Brian Cook? Smoosh Parker? Hell even Lamar Odmo when he is healthy isn't that great. He is Michael Jordan of the 1980's. He needs a Scottie Pippen (SHAQ).

Is it a fair assumption that you despise Pete Rose (gambling), Michael Jordan (cheated on his wife), Mickey Mantle (womanizer), and Babe Ruth (womanizer)?

The only thing that could outscore Kobe....Kobe's Ego. He is such a douche, if he hadn't run off Shaq and Phil (the first time) they would be winning championships galore. What an idiot. I could score 81 against the Raptors taking 46 shots.

Yeah im sure Snaq's crying for a 200 million dollar extension even tho he was already in the middle of a 170 million dollar one had nothing to do with the trade. Im sure the trade has notthing to do with snaq treating the regular season like a rehab time and his constantly being injured due to his weight. Im sure it had nothing to do with snaq's pety fued with the owner jerry buss. Its all kobe's fault. 100%. The war in the middle east? Kobe did that. World hunger? Kobe again. Pretty much everything that goes wrong in the world.....you guessed it #8.

Maybe if snaq came to work in shape(imagine that) theyd won 4 title in a row. But no he delays surgery and treatment and they lose homecourt adv. to the spurs in 03. 6 games later and eliminated from a chance at history you can only point the finger at one person and his name was not kobe. Shaq's act got old in orlando, got old in LA and is already getting old in Miami. One day shaq jockers will get it.
