Seems fair. Nothing worse than having two uneven divisions a la the (old) big 12.

A conference championship game makes sense if you want to be taken seriously. The way the big 10 had it set up where a team could, due to schedule, sneak by playing the other top teams in the conference was riduclous. The SEC is the model. Beat every team in your division and then beat the best team from the other division (sometimes twice).

Hopefully this means Penn State will miss playing Iowa more often.

You neglected to mention the most important part; that Michigan/Ohio State WILL NOT BE THE FINAL GAME OF THE YEAR BETWEEN BOTH TEAMS, since they're no longer in the same "division".

It is regional and balanced at the same time. That doesn't happen very often. I also noticed that Northwestern and Illinois are separate divisions also, but I guess that's not the biggest rivalry in the Big Ten.

There is 2 great, 1 good, 1 average, and 2 bad in one division and in the other you have 2 good, 1 decent/average, 2 average, and 1 average/bad

That isnt necessarily true. They may still play at the end of the year, it wouldnt be that difficult logistically.

And if Michigan can learn how to win again, they could meet in the conference championship game...that would be enticing!

There is 2 great, 1 good, 1 average, and 2 bad in one division and in the other you have 2 good, 1 decent/average, 2 average, and 1 average/bad

Michigan - Average football, great program
Nebraska - Great football, great program
Iowa - Good football, great program
Mich St - Average football, good program
N'Western - Fair football, fair program
Minnesota - Poor football, poor program

Ohio St - Great football, great program
Penn St - Good football, great program
Wisconsin - Good football, great program
Purdue - Average to Good football, Good program
Indiana - Poor football, Poor program
Illinois - Fair football, Fair program

Nebraska should win their division most years, Ohio St, Penn St or Wisconsin should battle most years.

At least they are trying to keep the big rivalries alive. Minnesota and Wisconsin are in separate divisions and it looks like they will still face each other every year.

Should have switched Northwestern and Wisconsin IMO.
