Mountain Hawks invade Kirby Field House tomorrow with tip-off at 1 p.m. Should be a typical emotional, intense game. I sense a tight defensive game with score in the 60-55 area. Lehigh comes in with 4-0 league record--although they have played the weaker half of the league to date. Both teams seem to be very erratic. However, a Lehigh win sets up a huge game next Wednesday night at home versus Bucknell.

Well since Lembo will not be in the building i give Lehigh a better then fighting chance. The league isn't very good, Bucknell is a top 50 team, Holy Cross maybe top 150, outside of that not much. That 'Hawks need to keep their momentum going heading into a big up-comming week. Lafayette is comming off a pounding to the Bison and might still be licking their wounds. Lehigh rally's late to stay unbeaten in the leage.

Lehigh/Lafayette game at Kirby is at the half. Typical rivalry game with number of lead changes various 'runs' by both teams. Unreal in college basketball the way teams go on 8-0, 9-0, 10-0 runs, and then go cold. Lehigh's 'big man' Mgrebof has been surprising with about 8 pts, a number of rebounds and MOVING quite well. At 6'10" and 285 he CAN be a force if he gets himself in shape, which appears to be occuring. Considering the halftime score--I feel somewhat prescient at this rate.

Lehigh turned on the jets in the second half to blowout the Leopards in Easton this afternoon. Lehigh shot 66% from the floor with 7/10 from 3 pt land. Lafayette shot 37%. Jason Mgreboff may have made a statement that he may be ready to roll. Lafayette Coach O'Hanlon noted that the Leopards just could not keep up with the Mountain Hawks, which was somewhat surprising that Lehigh appeared in better condition. Jose Olivero of Lehigh led all scorers with 21 points.
Lehigh definitely played its best game of the year which really sets up the showdown in Stabler Arena on Wednesday night against PL favorite Bucknell. Both teams will come in at 5-0 in League standings.
