Balanced offense shines in first intrasquad scrimmage
An efficient and balanced offensive performance highlighted the Monmouth University football team’s first intrasquad scrimmage of the 2010 preseason on Saturday afternoon at Kessler Field.
“I was really happy how clean it was. Our efficiency all over the field was pretty good,” said head coach Kevin Callahan. “We played without many penalties, which is something we are always concerned about in the first scrimmage with referees. The offense had several extended play drives, we were able to move the ball and anytime you can win the ball possession battle you have a chance to win.”
