The PSU offense generates only two touchdowns in nine possessions
For the second straight weekend, the Portland State defense highlighted the Vikings’ scrimmage as they held the offense to just 291 yards of total offense.
One weekend after stopping the offense on nine of 13 possessions, the defense held the day for much of Saturday’s 90 minute scrimmage with the offense generating only two touchdowns and two field goals on nine series.
The Vikings’ offense did produce some spectacular plays, though, and finished the 61-play scrimmage on a high-note with junior quarterback Connor Kavanaugh leading the first-string players to a touchdown on the final drive.
