Last spring, the Cal Poly offense scored four touchdowns in a 59-42 victory over the Mustang defense.
In the only live scrimmage of the 2010 fall camp Saturday afternoon in Alex G. Spanos Stadium, the defense overpowered the offense, allowing no touchdowns.
“The defense played outstanding,” said second-year Cal Poly head coach Tim Walsh. “They played the way they are capable of playing. They flew around.
“The defensive front played at pad level and was outstanding,” Walsh added. “We need to continue to build on that.”
