Senior, coming off injury, trails O’Neil on depth chart.
The guy who is listed No. 1 on the Lafayette College football depth chart at quarterback has spent most of the summer at his White Plains, N.Y., home while about 40 of his buddies have elected to stay in the Easton area to get an early jump on preparations for the 2010 campaign.
The absence of junior Ryan O’Neil has allowed his two pursuers, senior Marc Quilling of Parkland and sophomore Andrew Shoop, to establish a good rapport with their teammates — workouts as early as 5 in the morning will tend to do that — as Lafayette prepares for a preseason camp during which solidifying the quarterback position will be a high priority.
