Very curious how this works out...

I just do not think Hawkins is ready to carry this team on his back and it does not seem to make any sense what TXST is doing (or not doing) with Karrington Bush. TXST fans love their RB depth, but Bush is truly a difference-maker. Would make things easier for the QB - whether Hawkins or Ardnt.

Offensively, sophomore Tim Hawkins served as the first-team quarterback throughout much of the scrimmage and connected on a couple of touchdown passes to Daren Dillard and Da’Marcus Griggs.

“Tim look good in spots, but he has to be consistent,” Wright said. “We can’t put up balls that shouldn’t be put up. He just has to eliminate the mistakes like we have talked about before. Once he eliminates the young mistakes, he will be a good quarterback.

“Tyler (Arndt) is very talented and is starting to get a grasp of what we are doing,” Wright said. “The better he gets a grasp of the offense, the better he will be. It is just a matter of time.”
