One look at the Furman Defensive Depth Chart shows the youth, and that Furman will still be in a rebuilding year as far as defense goes. That said the future defenses for Furman should be the strength of the team. I love the athletic ability of the last three classes the coaches have brought in, the coaches made an effort to get players with taller frames. For the next three years Furman will be starting DE's that are 6-5, hopefully we can get some weight on Danny Palmer one of the best DT's in Florida HS last year.

Admittedly don't know much about how either side of the ball operates, but I know less about the defense ( I am speaking in general, not Furman in particular).

Aren't we a little light (especially on the D-line) , or are we thinking speed might make up the difference.

Sounds like Bobby is already asking for another year. Haven't they been rebuilding since that crushing semi-final loss in '05?

I've not heard a peep that Booby is asking for another year… actions speak for themselves, two new coaches and finally we have a president that as high expectations for athletics… especially football.

I've got a feeling APP will have their hands full when Furman comes to town.

OL FU I would expect some new wrinkles this season… speed is the asset, so you go with what you've got…

I'll go with it, but we had better be at least 8-3:)

I do expect the d to be different and better. I hate old time Furman people losing their job, but when we turned over the d coaches this year it was the first time that I suspected that Bobby understood the seriousness of the situation. Lots of schools would be thrilled with consecutive winning seasons, but I hope we never become happy with 6-5s.
