Here are some questions from this game.

Why did the Steelers not take a knee with a minute left?

Why did Tony D. not understand his team would be rusty(i.e. play like *****) after sitting them for 3 games or so?

Colts had 3 timeouts left, so three kneels and a FG and it's only 24-18...a Colts TD makes it 25-24...so obviously you try to seal it with a TD.

Exactly. Without all the time outs the knee(s) would have been taken.

Not to mention the fact that Bettis doesn't fumble very often and is the 5th leading rusher all-time.

The bigger question is, why did they shut their offense down in the fourth quarter? Did Big Ben get hurt? Maybe a play-action pass or two at the right time and it wouldn't have come down to that...

I think Big Ben did get hurt on one play when Freeney and someone else hit him. Yes, a play-action would have been perfect. The Colts' D loves to blitz and bring it when they canl tell that the other team is going to run. I saw yesterday (call me dumb for saying this if you like) how to beat the Colts... run screens.

My question is how does a defensive back who runs a 4.6 40 or less get tackled by a QB as big and slow as Big Ben?

Could Rothlisberger be the second coming? That guys does not play like it is his second year.

If anyone saw his first interview after the game, at the end of the interview the interviewer asked him if he was injured, to which he replied rather quickly "no comment" (or something similiar) and abrubtly ended the interview by walking away. It's becoming more and more common for offenses to hide injuries and work up a different game plan in secret, rather than admit that a key player is injured thus allowing the other team to focus their defense on the team's remaining offensive threats.

An example of another hidden injury....anyone who saw Clinton Portis' lack of a running game over the past 2 playoff games could see that he was clearly hurt. Usually he uses his shoulders and upper body (and those huge trunks he has for legs) to push tacklers back for that extra yard or two...not once did I see him do that in the playoffs. He got a few stingers in the season finale against the Eagles and was seen wincing and keeled over on the sideline. It was very apparent that he was playing less than 100% in the playoffs.

Wasn't he the dude that took a kitchen knife in the leg the night before during an argument with his wife?

I question the Colts not running it on 3rd and 2 at the end to try and get a few more downs to work with...instead, they went deep, missed, and set up the 4th and 2 for the missed fg...a run would've given them time for one or two more shots, or to gain ten more yards and get a closer fg attempt...

Yea, I didn't get that either. They had time, nod need to go for the whole thing right then. Maybe one of the pundits from MSN had it right. Peyton simply can't win the big one, and hasn't been able to since college. No excuses on this one. The Colts just didn't perform.
