The preseason list of 20 players to watch for the 2010 Walter Payton Award was announced this week by the Sports Network and Villanova was the only school to have as many as three student-athletes named to the watch list for college football's highest honor. The trio of players from the Wildcats include senior wide receiver/return man Matt Szczur (Erma, N.J.), senior quarterback Chris Whitney (Warminster, Pa.) and senior offensive lineman Ben Ijalana (Hainesport, N.J.). The Walter Payton Award is presented each year to the top offensive player in FCS football.
