Official release from the Colonials...and already stepping up for the local community to. Congrats to Josh for continuing his professional playing career. Probably will get more snaps in the UFL and a chance to get back into the NFL this year...

The Hartford Colonials of the United Football League have signed quarterback Josh McCown. The announcement was made at Rentschler Field, the home stadium for the Colonials. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’re excited to have Josh join the Hartford Colonials. His veteran leadership will help our football team,” Colonials Head Coach and General Manager Chris Palmer said. “He's a guy who has played in the National Football League for a number of years, and his experience is something that we’ll lean on.”

Coach Palmer added, “Josh talked about coming in and competing and wanting to show people he can still play. That’s what you’re looking for in a veteran player."

McCown is underlining his support to the community both on and off the football field by agreeing to donate $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford. He will personally present a check for that amount tonight at the Asylum Hill location on 170 Sigourney Street at 7 p.m.
