I know we have a few WKU fans around still and of course, there are quite a few of us from Louisiana. $900k to go play LSU in mid-Nov. Yikes!
FYI, from an FCS perspective - WKU's AD said it would like to keep playing "locally" with their FCS games, meaning teams in Kentucky and Tennessee.
Western Kentucky athletic director Ross Bjork said Monday that the WKU football team has added LSU to its schedule for the 2011 season.
The game will be a one-year guaranteed money contest that will earn WKU a $900,000 payout and will be Nov. 12 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
The announcement of the contract with LSU finishes off the Hilltoppers’ 2011 12-game schedule.
“We’ve added LSU to the schedule in 2011,” Bjork said. “We had a hole there and we’ll play (at) LSU to fill it in 2011 and that contract has been signed.”
