Nicknames like this don't need to be created. They certainly don't need to be voted on in an online poll before a game's ever played on it. Why not just wait and see what all the EWU fans end up calling it? Would make its nickname more authentic and it would actually stick. I remember App trying to get the Convocation Center (where we play basketball games) to have the nickname of the "Black Hole".... and that attempt epically failed.

No disrespect to EWU, but the whole red turf deal is a bad idea.. It's going to be brutal on the eyes, just it's brutal watching Boise State on TV at home... I know there trying to creat some publicity and additional home field advantage, but there is a reason football is on green fields and turf.. It's more natural and easy on the eyes.

certainly is interesting seeing peoples' reaction to the red, I grew up in Boise, so blue turf is my green, i don't find the games hard to watch at all (on tv, or in Bronco Stadium).

lol. Seriously, what does the majority of alumnus feel about RED turf? If my Bluehens decided to install yellow turf I'd have to turn in my season tickets. It's bad enough everyone has fake grass now, but at least it's green.
