Reading this article, you are led to believe that Vegas just needs to build a new arena and get the NBA to bring their game into the city (shouldn't be that hard, especially since the league DID hold the All-Star Game there in '07).

That'd sting for the Pistons. Wonder if the NBA would actually move forward with some legitimate realignment? Vegas Pistons in the Western Conference. Perhaps move New Orleans into the Eastern Conference so it can be with its "rival" city Atlanta...

Auburn Hills -- An investment group in Las Vegas wants to bring an NBA team to its city. The group, International Development Management LLC, said it's close to purchasing an NBA team to play in its proposed arena.

Could that team be the Pistons? Nobody's commenting, and the Pistons are one of several teams on the market.

This deal, too, has a lot of loopholes to clear. The investment group must first strike a deal with the county to fund construction of its proposed arena -- and isn't having much luck.

There was a Las Vegas group with Reggie Jackson looking at the Twins a few years ago too. Stern probably won't put a team in Vegas due to the gambling there.

The Pistons shouldnt move. They still draw well in Detroit.

The Grizzlies, Raptors, or even Bucks may benefit from a move however.

Pistons leaving Motown would be sacrilege.

Haven't been the same since they left Ft Wayne ;)

Is the auto industry recovering in the Motor City? Last I heard former Piston, now Mayor Dave Bing approved tearing down 3000 abandon homes. :(

If the Timberwolves don't start winning Minnesota will lose their second basketball franchise.

This is the most promising season since KG departed for Celtic greener pastures. Some real sleepers on the roster, and hopefully they don't turn into snoozers.

I hope so. I hope this is the year the T'Wolves turn it around and makes us forget who KG was.
