Article on one of the names already in San Marcos...
San Marcos — Bryan Hill isn’t scared of competition.
It seems like wherever he plays, Hill continues to face it head-on.
As a quarterback at Smithson Valley High, Hill fought for the starting nod even though his father was the head coach. Hill earned the opportunity to start his final two years with the Rangers and guided them to a 22-4 record.
At the University of Houston, Hill redshirted in 2007 and while he was on the active roster, didn't see any action. Hill sat third on the depth chart and would have needed a miracle to knock Case Keenum (who is a Heisman Hopeful this season) off his perch.
Hill transferred to Texas State in 2008 and once again found himself behind a stud quarterback (Bradley George) and the heir apparent (Tim Hawkins).
