That's going to be tough to stomach each weekend, even for the diehards. Perhaps the first hour, which will be on ESPNU, will be mostly college football-related news? And not the analysis and features that we've come to expect from the usual gang on Gameday...

ESPN plans to announce tomorrow morning that Erin Andrews will join the College Gameday crew this season. This fall, the show will be 3 hours (was 2 last year) and will now begin at 9AM EST. Andrews will host the first hour (which will air live on ESPNU and on ESPN Radio) and then will serve as a reporter for the 2nd and 3rd hours.

Andrews will then work the sideline at that game.

They should devote at least an hour to the FCS.

I wish they would at least devote some of their time...I'd take even a half hour to start. But you know it will be which Texas QB took a crap before the game, or which Florida player went to church in some poor community. Crap like that...

I would agree to a half hour, but you are right about the other stuff. They only believe in the FBS.

Yup...and I understand that...I mean that is the money maker...but if they could please have some respect to the FCS I would be happy!

Especially when more and more FCS players are proforming better than some FBS players in the NFL.

With 10+ ESPN networks (or it seems that way), you'd think they could have a 1 hour show to focus on FCS and Div 2/3.

the reason they don't devote time to FCS should tell us what the country thinks about FCS... they don't care. if they did, they'd devote time to it. WE all care but are a huge minority in this. that's why we have AGS!

I used to highly anticipate the start of College Gameday every weekend. Gives me a momentary warm fuzzy memory when I accidentally catch a few minutes of it now, but the magic is gone at the "top level" of college football. If they did a College Gameday for "lower divisions" I'd be interested.

Maybe MASN or some southern sports network would see the need for it, given the east FCS bais. But I doubt it.
