Former Spaulding High School standout David Ball’s professional football career received a setback Tuesday when the Canadian Football League’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers released him.

Looks like Ball has landed on the practice squad...


One day after being released by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, former Spaulding High School wide receiver David Ball signed on with the the Canadian Football League team's practice squad Wednesday.

"David Ball has been placed on our practice roster. He will still be with us," Darren Cameron, the Blue Bombers' director of media relations, told the Free Press.

And cut again...


The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released David Ball from the Canadian Football League team's practice squad Tuesday, dealing another blow to the former Spaulding High School and University of New Hampshire star's professional career.

The NCAA Division I-AA touchdown reception record-holder, Ball had latched on to the Bombers' roster last month during training camp, only to get released and picked up for the practice squad in two days' time.

It sucks...he can never seem to be lucky enough to catch on some where. I wonder if he has searched his options with the UFL yet? Maybe he has, I am not sure.
