Just a head's up to those who are interested - Ricky Santos has landed back on his feet, signing with the Montreal Alouettes...

Ricky Santos didn't stay unemployed for long.

The Montreal Alouettes, the team that traded him last year to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, signed the ex-Bellingham High and University of New Hampshire quarterback last week, just before the start of the Canadian Football League season.

The door opened for Santos' return when backup quarterback Adrian McPherson tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during Montreal's final preseason game. No surgery will be required but McPherson is expected to miss eight weeks. He was placed on the nine-game disabled list.

no doubt, truly one of the greats in UNH history. i really don't know much about their history, but i'm thinking he HAS to be up there. he could flat-out play.

Just saw Santos run a couple of short yardage plays for Montreal for first downs tonight over Saskatchewan. By the way, the CFL game is on the NFL Network.

Hopefully he can finally get some real playing time and show what he's capable of.

Ricky had one carry last night against the Edmonton Eskimos for a TD, two or three yards depending on different reports.

Former Wildcat Etienne Boulay had an interception for Montreal in that game as well.
