Glad to see Kevin Hughes on the list...IMO, he was the best OL in the SLC last year, but didn't get the recognition.

Of course he is on the list. I don't know if he was the best in the SLC. I think you can argue Hall of Texas State but he is certainly up there. I have him first team on my preseason list. Hughes is an athletic kid with a good body type, good feet, inconsistent, needs to finish more, but he flashes and has enough qualities to warrant taking in the 7th round or as a free agent to develop... and he will need some development.

Brandon Ward plays DE for us, does this list suggest that he projcts as an OLB at the next level?

Yes. Several players such as Ijalana, Ward, etc. are listed at a different position because they are projected to change at the next level.

The only thing D.J. Hall has over Kevin is mass to play inside and maybe strength at point of attack, though that's debatable...otherwise, Kevin is a better pure offensive lineman who could play anywhere on the OL in the SLC...Hall is pretty much limited to inside...he's a good player but I wouldn't make a straight-up trade, that's for sure.

But I agree with your general comments about Kevin.

Yes Hall is a heck of a guard but a guard only. Hughes has the versatility to move around on the line.

I'd like to submit one change to the list...

I noticed some of the guys on the list go by their nickname instead of their real name: i.e. Matthew-Matt, Patrick-Pat

Can you update Mark LeGree's name to include his nickname "LeGreedy"? :D

Unfortunately, while I would debate whether SBU has a player or two who could be on that list - our big guns start with Gowins and the Hofstra transfers next year.

We do have a very good QB, Coulter, who got major attention before an injury. Could see him as a FA pickup.

Possibly. It is very early. Right now I am being very conservative with my PFA and draft grades though. Expect things to pick up. My goal is to not have a single guy in my top 25 right now that does not finish the year in the top 50-60 because hopefully I have picked most of the right guys. :)
