UCA Signs Head Coach Clint Conque to Five-Year Extension

CONWAY, Ark _ Three University of Central Arkansas head coaches have signed new contracts, according to Dr. Brad Teague, director of athletics.

Football coach Clint Conque and women’s basketball coach Matt Daniel have signed new five-year contracts, while men’s basketball coach Corliss Williamson signed a three-year contract.

A five-year deal?

That just seems to be something that goes unheard of at the FCS level. Am I mistaken? Seems most deals are three or four years...perhaps some schools which are legitimately year-to-year.

He's earned a 5 year deal... in a short time, he's made them a FCS power and perhaps the top program in the SLC in terms of total wins since becoming a member.

Five years is correct.

Clint has done a fabulous job and is very well thought of at UCA.

We are confident he can continue to build on the success we have achieved thus far in the SLC and FCS.

Question...was there anything in his new contract regarding assistants? I know sometimes coaches include incentives or other parameters pertaining to their assistant coaches.
