Beamer was aware of Vick traffic citation before Gator Bowl

Beamer was aware of the traffic citation of driving with a suspended license before the Gator Bowl but claims he did not know about the speeding citation that was involved with the exact same traffic stop. He also did not let the VT administration know about this situation. I do believe Beamer covered this up so Marcus Vick would play in the Gator Bowl against Louisville. On top of the whole Marcus Vick fiasco, in the fall of 2005 VT football players were found to be living in section 8 housing and receiving living stipends from both VT and the government. There is a lot of suspicious stuff going on in Blacksburg. I think the NCAA should do a thorough investigation for other things to make sure VT is hiding nothing else. Beamer should be fired in my opinion but will not be touched at all.

Virginia Tech Football Coach Frank Beamer says he was made aware Marcus Vick faced a traffic citation for driving with a suspended license on December 19, two days after it was issued, but he thought it was a matter of "signing some paper and paying some money." He did not see it as an issue affecting Vick's "Action Plan" with the university to stay out of further legal trouble or face dismissal from the team.
