Brazilians across the world on mass suicide watch...

Unbelievable.

I cannot believe this score.

Certainly can't blame it on Brazil....North Korea is just playing that good on both sides of the ball. N. Korea's crosses on offense haven't been particularly good though.

btw their goalie is the only goalie I've ever seen wear pants instead of shorts

I don't claim much soccer expertise, but it seems to me that most of the match so far has been on the Norks end. Of course there have been what, eight scoreless ties at the half so far in this tournament, so this is in keeping with the overall trend. Buit like I said in the other thread-if a DPRK win would finiish off KJL (who is in reported ill health) then losing would be Brazil's greatest gift to humanity since the bikini wax.

A multitude of folks have been complaining about the nature of the games and how little scoring there has been in general - some blaming it on the vuvuzelas, others the ball, or just the "play not to lose" philosophy. But this - Brazil being brought to its knees by the 105th (or so) team in the world - is just stunning by any measure.

Maicon just scored in the 55th minute to make it 1-0 Brazil.

Suicide watch averted. :D

Not for me. I bet on Brazil -2.5. COME ON GUYS! YOU ARE BRAZIL! THEY ARE NORTH KOREA! Don't be scared of their little president.

Also, insane goal by Maicon. Wow.

They just announced that the North Korean "fans" in South Africa are all hand picked actors from China paid to come and cheer for the Norks.

I really shouldn't be surprised, but Potemkin fans?!?

I don't know if I should laugh or shake my head. Maybe both.

2-0 Brazil now. Goal Elano off a beautiful pass by Robinho.

2-0 Brazil now...pretty much over I say

Oh well North Korea had a good run while it lasted.

Of course, my World Cup fantasy team this week had Kaka, Fabiano (who missed, what, seven chances to score?) and Lucio instead of Maicon and Elano, the actual goal scorers. Figures. xnonox

Sorry, dude. North Korea's 89th minute goal puts them at 2-1.

Wow - I can't believe I was actually pulling for North Korea - too bad their keeper was off his line on Maicon's impossible angle laser...

Keeper probably wasn't off the line, don't think anyone would have expected him to be able to shoot at that angle and speed, he had to be guessing for the cross.

He was about 3 feet off his line - just a bit too much...

Well, the other option is letting North Koreans actually, you know, leave the country....

They're hired proxies. Northies would never want to leave the Worker's Paradise for a single minute!

If he showed his face in South Africa, chances he would have an "accident"? 99%?
