Let's see, just in the last two years he's been convicted of statutory rape and drug possession, arrested for driving with a suspended license, has made obscene gestures to fans, stomped on an opposing player, and been kicked off his team by the most criminal-coddling coach in college football.

That's not a resume that's going to attract a lot of NFL interest.

At only 6'0" tall, most NFL teams wouldn't have been interested in him at QB anyways.

And there was much rejoicing... in the offices of the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.

true he does have a checkerd past but surly there is a team out there who will be willing to take a chance on this kid and i wouldnt be surprised if he was taken somewhere in the second round. of all the QBs i saw play this year in college he was easily in the top 5. he has a tremendous arm and scrambling ability and height for QBs in the NFL these days is really not that significant (ex. drew brees ) I also have no doubt that he will again run into more trouble in the pros but hopefully he proves his critics wrong

There is. That team is Virginia Tech. And he pissed all over them multiple times. They're playing with real money in the NFL, so they're more hesitant to risk making mistakes.

Drew Brees is a very good counter, but he was a better college QB with zero baggage.

Thank God he's not heading for a I-AA, then. I doubt he'd get drafted, but since he probably will, I say he heads to either the Oakland Raiders or (since rumor is that they're probably going to pick up another troubled player by the name of T.O.), the Dallas Dowboys.

But I sorely hope he doesn't get drafted, or even given a chance in ANY of the arena leagues, or the CFL. He's had his chances already.

Andy Reid needs to get him. What's another overrated QB worth in Philly?

Wasn't there rumors a few years back after he got booted out of Va Tech that he was going to transfer to Georgia Southern? I know he's going pro and all, but I was kinda hoping he'd go to GSU, thus giving ol' ASU the oppurtunity to beat a Vick.

A lot of employers have a policy of not hiring anyone with a record.
Why not Pro Sports?? No one would suffer save the jerks who cant get hired to play a game at a ridiculous salary.

Mel Kiper Draft Expert said he'd probably be a 5th or 6th rounder this morning and if he was smart would spend next season in I-AA. But if he's not smart enough to keep his nose clean after he has witnessed the success that his brother has achieved, than no team in thier right mind (pro or college) should have anything to do with him. Sad.

Who would have thought Maurice Clarett would get drafted.. but he did.. 3rd round no less.

There is some hope for Vick. But given his record and attitude, I wouldn't want him as an NFL GM. How can I have confidence that this kid can learn a system, be patient, and respect the team?

He needs psychological help before he does something much worse. If I were Michael, I'd smack him around a few times. Speaking of, I'm surprised big bro hasn't spoken out on this or has been asked about it at all.

Zachary. That's a bigger problem for Vick than for Clarett. Clarett had less baggage than Vick, and had a much simpler adjustment -- fundamentally, not a huge difference between RB in college and RB in the NFL.

Whoever gets Vick will either have to teach him to run a new offense or teach him a new position. And since he frankly hasn't shown the ability to learn the basic skills needed to be a decent human being, I wouldn't be too optimistic about him learning either of those things.

Don't know what to say about this guy.

So far all the stuff, by comparison to others, has been silly stuff. Unexplainable stuff. Stuff that makes you scratch your head and say..........YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING.

He better learn, HIS NAME, ain't gonna save him forever.

If my big brother was Micheal Vick, first car an Escalade, NOT BROKE, playing Major college football, QB...........................trouble ain't no where near me and I'll be danged if I bring it on myself.

Kid too silly to know how good he has it. :bang:

I think it is kind of strange how no one has even mentioned the thousands of late hits that were brought upon him by the guy he stepped on......

do I agree with what he did? NO, but i'm not going to be an asshole and say that he can't improve. I mean, come on, the kid has a TON of talent, and you can be sure that Big Bro is going to be all over him about this one. I personally hope the Falcons draft him, as if Marcus even tried anything, Mike would be there to deck him

Yeah he will drop down if he goes in the draft...way down..just like Randy Moss..But dont think people are going to want to take a chance on him early on in the first round 2-3 round maybe lower

Moss looks like an angel compared to Vick at the same stage in their careers, and lots of teams still passed on him.

Moss had two incidents -- a fight in high school and a positive drug test at FSU. He was trouble-free at Marshall (AFAWK).

WOW! This is the first time I have seen or heard about this. This dumbs**t won't make it in the CFL or NFL Europe much less semi-pro ball. He'll wash out quickly if any team is stupid enough to sign him.(remember Lawrence Phillips?)

the kid has abosolutly not sportsmanship what so ever, i dont know if that is something that can be taught because it really is a subconcious trait. you should respect your opponent because it makes for better competition. that kind of stuff just makes me sick. marcus vick just seems like a spoiled little brat and i dont know why he thinks he can get away with stuff like that, that boy needs a wake up call. he needs a good ol fashion a$$ whoopin
